The Origin of LA PEAUX.
The story of LA PEAUX. began with an Australian natural skincare collection created by Jacqualine Timms under the name LA PEAUX.
The intention was to build my own skincare brand centred around skin, beauty and transformation. When the original name could not be trademarked in the desired skincare category, trademark advice led to the name being explored and protected across additional classes, including the franchise administration class.
That moment became the beginning of a much bigger idea.
Over the following three years, the original concept evolved significantly. What began as a skincare collection developed into a broader vision encompassing Beauty, Wellness, Personal Development, Transformation and independent entrepreneurship.
Rather than abandoning the original name, LA PEAUX. was reimagined.
The original skincare vision became the beginning — not the destination — of what is now a House of Transformation.
From Skin to Transformation.
The name LA PEAUX. draws from the French word peau, meaning skin, with peaux being the plural form — skins.
Skin is continually transforming. It renews, changes, ages, responds to its environment and reflects the life we live.
This became a powerful metaphor for the philosophy behind LA PEAUX.: transformation is not a single event, but an ongoing journey.
LA PEAUX. therefore became an interpretation of transformation through the idea of skin — the outer expression of an ever-changing inner journey.
The X became an integral part of the identity, representing the X Factor — the individual quality, potential and distinctive element that makes each person and each Atelier unique.
More recently, the X has also come to hold a deeper spiritual meaning within the philosophy of LA PEAUX., representing Christ and the spiritual dimension of transformation.

Our Model.
Atelier
French for “work studio.” Within the LA PEAUX. model, an Atelier is the independent business created and operated by an Atelier Transformation Consultant — shaped around their own skills, services, style, clients and vision.
Atelier Transformation Consultant
An independent entrepreneur who develops and operates their own Atelier business using resources, education, frameworks and opportunities available through the LA PEAUX. model. The Consultant operates under their own name, brand and ABN.
The Atelier Model
The LA PEAUX. framework through which independent entrepreneurs can develop their own Beauty, Wellness and Personal Development business. LA PEAUX. provides resources, education, frameworks and curated collections; the Consultant chooses how to develop and express their own business.
Independent Business
A business owned and operated by the individual Consultant under their own name, brand and ABN. The Consultant is responsible for their own business decisions, client relationships, services, pricing, operating environment and applicable professional requirements.
Your Atelier
The unique business identity created by each Atelier Transformation Consultant. Your Atelier is not a LA PEAUX. branch or franchise. It is your own independent business, shaped around your talents, services, style, community and vision.
The LA PEAUX. Network
A global network of independent Atelier Transformation Consultants connected through shared resources, education, philosophy and the broader LA PEAUX. model. The Network provides connection and opportunity while each Consultant remains independent.
Designer-Led
A philosophy of intentional design, curation and personal expression applied throughout the LA PEAUX. model. It reflects the belief that an Atelier should be thoughtfully designed around the individual Consultant rather than operated as a prescribed or standardised business.
